My grace is enough for you my power is made perfect in your weakness2
Cor. 12, 9
I come from a very strong Catholic family from Kerala India. I inherited a deep faith and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus from my very early school days. I had the privilege of being educated in a convent school, where we had all kinds of different activities to motivate us for the mission. Also my two aunties who are religious in different congregations encouraged me to become a bride of Christ. This then kept pondering in my mind until I decided to leave behind all that I held very precious to me, my family, friends and home culture. I had a lot of opposition when I decided to join this particular Congregation Daughters of the Sacred Heart in North India due to the distance from my home town.
To make the story short mysteriously the good Lord opened to me the door to the DSH way of life in Jhansi, northern part of India at the age of seventeen.
Life in the formation was very challenging and demanding as I had to let go off my familiar surroundings and comfort zones. Yet the love of the Sacred Heart enchanted me with his assuring words I will be with you, do not be afraid, come follow me to the DSH way of simple, humble and charitable life, which will reward you in hundred fold if you abandon yourself in the loving plan of God. I kept his words alive in my heart and prayed for the grace to live each day responding to his invitation to be a daughter of his heart. I always had a deep longing and thirst for the word of God which is alive in every moment of my life.
After my religious profession served in India for ten years, and then I was sent to Kenya and served there for ten years. All these years were a time of growth as I faced with a lot challenges from within and outside and I am reassured by the same words that His grace is enough for me
