MY CALL AS A DSH You oh Lord Know me, you see me, you have found that at heart I am with you Jer, 12,3.
I come from a very strong religious family and I instilled love for Jesus from my very early age and wanted to love Jesus more and more in a radical way. My aunties and cousins who are religious sisters in Franciscan Clarist Congregation in Kerala south of India used to ask me to join them. But later on in life’s journey mysteriously I was inspired by the Sacred Heart of Jesus to become his daughter in North India as a missionary after completing my secondary school. I pondered on this inspiration for some time and then God in his own providential way brought me to the Congregation daughters of the Sacred Heart in Jhansi Up. I went through different stages of formation in the DSH way of life and took my first profession in the year 1976 and served in the mother house for several years. I made my final commitment in the year 1981 and was qualified in secretarial work and served in different ministries of the congregation in different parts of India. All these years were a time of growth as I faced a lot of challenges and discoveries of God and self from within and from outside. Yet today when I look back I can boldly say that the good Lord who called me in this way of life knew me and walked with me all through my life’s journey. And so I raise my heart in gratitude to the Lord who is the provider of all good things.
