OFFICIAL OPENING OF TERESA NUZZO GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL AND SISTERS' CONVENT - EASTERN AFRICA PROVINCE
On the 26 th of November 2021, Mother General, Sr. Pauline Farrugia officially opened the school and community in Membley, Ruiru. This took place right after a Eucharistic celebration animated by the students of Teresa Nuzzo Girls Secondary School and presided by the parish priest, Fr. John Kiongo (St. Lucia Parish, Membley). The Provincial, Sr. Josephine Kangogo accompanied Mother General to the occasion. Sisters and aspirants from the neighbouring community (Ruiru Community) were in attendance. We wish the pioneers of this mission (Srs. Pauline Wanyoike, Sr. Pauline Mumina and Sr. Fortunate) every blessing as they reach out to the people of God.
On the 1 st of December, Mother attended the graduation ceremony for a course she had followed online. We congratulate her for leading by example – learning goes on forever – ongoing formation never ends. Hearty Congratulations Mother.
We are forever indebted to God for His faithfulness towards our province. 6 novices (2 Ugandans, 3 Kenyans and 1 Tanzanian) took their temporary vows on the 4 th of December. Their vows were received by Mother General in a colourful Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Robert (Servants of Mary). In his homily, he urged the young sisters to abide in the One who called them so as to remain faithful and fruitful in their consecration. Mother General, in herbspeech encouraged the newly professed to live radically their consecration by being prophetic wherever they will be sent.
