The 16th General Chapter of the Congregation began on 1st July 2025 with 39 capitulants from different parts of the world where the Congregation renders service. We had two days of prayer guided by Fr. Martin Micallef followed by the inaugural mass of the Holy Spirit on 3rd July, celebrated on by Fr. Mark Sultana. Many sisters and formees from the Malta province joined the celebration and made it very lively.

The election of the Superior General was fixed for the 18th July 2025 giving enough time for the sisters to know one another. The actual voting took place on 18th July 4.00 pm after spending enough time in prayer and reflection. The Congregation of the Daughters of the Sacred Heart is now happy to announce the appointment of Sister Victoria Sant from Mellieħa-Malta as the new Superior General of the Congregation. In her new role, Sister Victoria will be supported by four Councillors: Sr. Jennifer Wahu, Sr. Jacintha Noronha, Sr. Regina Mutiso and Sr. Molly Kurian. Additionally,
Sr. Louise Ebejer has been appointed General Bursar, with Sr. Josephine Maina serving as her assistant.
