The Official ceremony of appointment was marked by a prayer service was guided by Sr. Rita Vella, ex-provincial. The theme chosen was
“The Good Shepherd and Servant”.

Three reflections shared were:
• Christ, personified with the Good Shepherd.
• Christ, model of Religious leadership.
• Christ, servant of servants.

After the prayers, Mother General, Sr. Pauline Farrugia prayed over Sr. Victoria Sant, so that the Holy Trinity will enlighten and strengthen her,
in her new appointment as a provincial.

Following the prayers, Sr. Victoria Sant, read the formula of acceptance and responsibility of a provincial superior. Each counsellor also read the formula of acceptance and responsibility as members of the Provincial Counsel. This rite was also followed by the Provincial Bursar and her assistant.

Afterwards, to mark this special event, all the Sisters present gathered together in the refectory to participate in a small party. At the end, the ex-provincial and the new Provincial cut the cake. The DSH family extend a very hearty congratulation and our heartfelt prayers to our new team. May the good Lord who began this work in us may bring it to fruition.
