Lead by the grace of God our Provincial Superior Sr. Marina Sebastian and Sr. Vandana Thomas acquired a piece of land on 21 st December 2016, in the Diocese of Gwalior. On 3 rd January 2018 the Foundation Stone was laid and was blessed by Rt. Rev. Peter Parapullil, the Bishop of Jhansi. On 1 st July 2019 classes were commenced and on 18 th June Fr. Jimmy Dhabi SJ blessed the Foundation Stone and our Provincial Sr.
Marina Sabastian laid the first stone of the convent building.

A new community was formed on 5 th May 2019 at Karera, as Sacred Heart Convent with 6 sisters. The sisters are engaged in teaching Apostolate. Besides this they visit the Christian families and pray the rosary with them, they also visit the families of the students to know their background. Give free coaching to all the students. Prepare the children for First Holy Communion. Lately the sisters have taken up Prison Ministry. The dawn of 24 th February 2020 brought untold joy to us as our Mother General Pauline Farrugia inaugurated the school and Rt. Rev. Bishop Joseph Thykkattil blessed the school building amid great applause by the invitees.

This mission is solely to help the poor children of this locality in a unique DSH way and to make a difference in their lives with our presence. May the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus be made known through the service we give to the people of Karera.
