The Daughters of the Sacred Heart, Province of India, celebrated the First Profession of Vows of the four Novices- Sr. Gyanawati Kudape, Sr. Sangeeta Kujur, Sr. Sweta Bakhla and Sr.Tejaswini Betala.  The Eucharistic celebration was held at St. Jude’s Foundling Home on August 27, 2020.  Rt. Rev. Peter Parapullil, Bishop of Jhansi officiated at the Solemn Eucharist along with Fr. Lawrence Xavier, Fr. Ashok Ekka and Fr. Renoy SDB.

The Bishop exhorted the sisters quoting the words of Pope Francis to live their religious consecration with JOY and an unconditional obedience to the authorities and be ever ready to accept and face the challenges of the mission that would be given. The excitement and joy of the occasion were not dampened by the fear of pandemic. 

It was truly a grace-filled day for all present. Sr. Marina Sebastian, the Provincial Superior recalled the joy of that special day in each of the Sisters’ lives when she gave herself to God in the profession of religious vows! We congratulate our Sisters and assure them of our prayers as they take up their assignments in the community.  We hope that they find joy and fulfilment as well as receive many blessings as they give themselves to the service of God and His Church!
