In this Year of Mercy, the Congregation Daughters of the Sacred Heart has organised two pilgrimages to the three Churches which are chosen by the Archbishop Charles Jude Scicluna for the Island of Malta. The Sisters of different areas of the Malta Province could choose their date of the pilgrimage.
The pilgrimage started in the Parish Church of Senglea where Mass was celebrated, and the Sisters participated with singing and prayers. Following, the pilgrimage stopped in the Cathedral of Mdina where the Sisters prayed with the Litany of the Divine Mercy, singing and biding prayers. Then, the pilgrimage ended in the Sanctuary of Mellieha where the Sisters recited the Rosary in honour of our Lady of Mercy.
Moreover, each Sister was a given an opportunity by the Province to visit the Holy Door in St Peter’s Basilica. A five day visit to Rome was organised. The groups of four sisters could stay in our convent in Cava dei Selci, Marino, Rome.
