113TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BEGINNING OF THE CONGREGATION
The Congregation, Daughters of the Sacred Heart was started on the 21 st November 1903, when Archbishop Pietro Pace received the vows of Mother Maria Tereza Nuzzo and a few others in the Church of Tal-Madonna tas-Samra, Hamrun, Malta.
Every year, the Daughters of the Sacred Heart celebrate the birthday of the congregation where ever they are with meaningful Eucharistic celebration. This year the celebration of the 113 Anniversary was remarkable as it was hosted in the same church at Tas- Samara Hamrun where the origin is. The main celebrant for the Eucharist was Mons. Paul Darmanin Cap., Bishop Emeritus of Garissa, in Kenya along with many other priests. . It was well attended by Maltese, Indian, Kenyan Sisters, Relatives, friends, neighbours and Lay Associates of the DSH family.
