Sisters of Mellieha community celebrated 80 and 70 years of life to Sr.Generosa and Sr. Leena Castelino on 16 January 2021. Here is a small poem by
Sr. Leena to express her gratitude to God.

Years of grace and mercy and love,
Years of God’s assurance from above,
My heart seems to burst at the seams,
As gratitude cannot contain within.

70 years O Lord, a gift of life.
Both high and low of all my years,
All filled with abundant grace
Unbeknown in my wayward days.

My youthful years lived in ignorance,
Led by craven fear and arrogance,
Fled I often from your searching fire,
Sometimes lost in earthly sod and mire.

But you O Lord like heavenly hound,
Pursued me and brought me around,
Filled me with so much compassion,
And graced me with the fruit of thy passion.

Blest am I with gift of Faith,
Blest am I with gift of Mercy,

Blest all the way through and through,
As I sing the praises of You.

Countless days of grace on grace,
Numberless moments of your experience,
Taught in your school with pain and tears,
Blessed learning of past 70 years.

May I ever stand before thee,
Only gratitude flowing from within me.
Thank you, O Lord for the gift of life.
Thank you for the gift of yourself.
